About Us

In 1898, two dedicated men saw the need  of a Disciple Church in the local area. These men, Brother Alexander Kelly and Brother Henry Gainey, set out to erect a Disciple Church in the community on River Road. They were already ordained deacons from Macedonia Congregation Church near the now 301 Highway and with the help of well wishers, they founded the Thaddeus Chapel Disciples of Christ Church.

What We Believe

We believe that the New Testament is out Faith, Doctrine, Practice and Guide.

We believe in no creed but Christ.

We believe in no book but the bible, and where the Bible speaks we speak, and where the Bible is silent, we are silent.

We believe in the Trinity.

We believe in Baptism by Immersion.

We believe that our Communion should consist of Serving bread, wine and foot washing

We believe that our essential is Unity, and nonessential is Liberty,

And in all things, Charity.
